Wolfclyde Steading Cottage, near Biggar,
is a recently renovated (completed Aug 2004) farm cottage on the
banks of the River
Clyde. Originally used as a farm machinery store and workshop, this
traditional stone built building has been transformed into a super
one bedroom detached holiday cottage which sleeps 4. Wolfclyde Steading
makes an ideal base for fishing enthusiasts looking for a peaceful
fishing holiday in Scotland.

The open plan kitchen - living room opens out directly
onto a patio area through double French doors, and with two more
glass doors on
the east gable end of the cottage, there is an abundance of natural
daylight in the living area.

The kitchen is fully fitted with a fridge, cooker, washing machine,
microwave and lots of cupboard space. The combi-boiler is also situated
in the kitchen, providing hot water and heating to the cottage. The
boiler is set on an automatic timer but can be adjusted to suit your
needs.
The living room has TV/video, two easy chairs and a large sofa bed
which sleeps 2 adults.
The bedroom is en-suite with a large double bed, twin bedside cabinets,
a wardrobe and a large storage cupboard. The bedroom window looks
onto the newly landscaped garden and also has an electrically operated
velux window in the ceiling.
The feature en-suite bathroom is a stunning room in which to relax,
with a shower cabinet and a bath built into a curved mosaic tiled
wall.
A second toilet is in the hallway.
There is a very spacious parking area that can comfortably house
four cars. This is bordered by an attractive garden where you can
sit and enjoy views of the surrounding Biggar countryside.

The Jackson family have lived and farmed at Wolfclyde
for over 60 years.
The farm is situated directly across the road from the steading
cottage.
Meikle Jackson and wife Liz have two children, Ross and Rosie.
The farm is a dairy farm milking 100 cows as well as keeping a
pedigree Texel flock. They
have spent the last year renovating the cottage and are now delighted
to offer you the chance to visit the Biggar area.
